Copper wire granulator is a machine that physically separates copper from plastic in scrap wires, primarily by exploiting differences in specific gravity or electrical conductivity.
Workflow of copper wire granulator
1. Shredding and Granulation: Scrap wires are first cut into segments by a shredder and then fed into a granulator to be crushed into granules just a few millimeters in size, ensuring the copper and plastic are fully detached.
2. Sorting and Separation: The mixed granules undergo airflow or vibrating screen processing; utilizing density differences, the copper sinks while the plastic rises, achieving preliminary separation.
3. Fine Purification: Some systems are equipped with electrostatic separators that utilize differences in electrical conductivity to further remove residual plastic, thereby increasing the purity of the copper.

Technological process of copper wire granulator

If the copper contains unsorted broken plastic, it can also be sorted by electrostatic separator to ensure high reuse rate of copper.
